Hi, I’m Mindy Waltz — a learning architect, strategist, and perpetual baker.
I help organizations build meaningful learning experiences that actually stick—rooted in research, shaped by storytelling, and always aligned with business goals.
Over the years, I’ve led high-impact initiatives in higher education and corporate learning, from designing microlearning that supports global SaaS rollouts to launching full-scale academies that boost engagement and performance. My sweet spot? Blending instructional science with creative design to make learning as practical as it is powerful.
AI and the rapid evolution of ed tech are fundamentally changing what's possible in learning design. We can now create personalized, adaptive, high-quality learning experiences at a scale that simply wasn't feasible even three years ago. I enjoy leading a team to navigate these new waters, but I also want my hands in the middle of the design.
Thanks for stopping by—I’d love to connect and hear what you’re building next.
Outside of work...
I love to go to the gym, hike the local parks, golf, pickleball, throw clay pots on a wheel, watercolor, book club, and cook healthy food so that I can eat the scones, cheesecakes, and cookies I bake!
The coursework and comprehensive exams for my PhD are finished. Now I am in the midst of dissertation research for a PhD in Instructional Design for Online Learning at Capella University. My research topic is microlearning design characteristics to ensure effective learning transfer into the workplace that achieves ROI. Expected graduation summer 2027.
